But why a diptych for Sins Of Will #8 instead of a single canvas? Does it represent a relationship between duality and sin? The chicanery of the human race? Perhaps it symbolises the way in which people are torn between good and evil?

Sharon pauses, as though considering her words carefully. Then grins.

"Actually, it was because I had these two small canvases left over and I wanted to use them up," she admits. "And I guess I just like the diptych idea - the balance of it."
